Introduction

• July 2011: Snowball is a powerful board with ST-Ericsson’s Nova A9500 processor (ARM dual-core Cortex A9 @ 1GHz) and the ARM Mali 400 GPU, aka the U8500 smartphone platform
• Two versions of the Snowball developer board are sold by Calao Systems and ST-Ericsson's worldwide network of distributors:
  • The software development version (SDK, 4GBytes e-MMC)
  • The product development version (PDK, 8GBytes e-MMC - also usable in end products).
• August, 21st 2011: First minimal boot of MeeGo on a Snowball. Device from MeeGoFI LDP
• August 2011: Nomovok will port MeeGo (with hardfp) on Snowball
• August 2011: Nomovok's presentation at LinuxCon Vancouver: Improving Graphic Performance of MeeGo on ARM, page 25 = Snowball
