Lowering Barriers of Entry for Hardware Adaptations in MeeGo Task force

Goal

We believe there is too high barriers of entry for hardware adaptations to enter into the MeeGo OS.

Starting a hardware adaptation is (technically) a minefield of trademark problems, unknown processes for getting a hardware adaptations accepted into releases and inavailability of simple resources like OS image hosting for work in progress hardware adaptations.

In addition to that, community hardware adaptations are a great way to train people for working on new products, so part of goals is to help making those easier to develop.

Deliveries

Delivery dates/milestones:

• 4 weeks after 18 January - A metabug, depending to a number of policy recommendations/bugs as well as tasks/lacking services in the current MeeGo infrastucture needed to lower barriers of entry.
