OBS Integration & Weekly builds

  • 20100825 AP: Packaging for ISVs. Could leverage public OBS and spectacle (Intel to provide proposal / ideas).
  • 20100825 AP DONE:Sync the kickstart files of QEMU image creation (Fathi)
  • 20100901 AP DONE: Chris Ferron can do server side changes of image creation (Veli)
  • 20100818 AP 20100831: Modify the OBS layout (Fathi)
    • WAITING for Anas/Peter feedbacks. need OBS admin help.
    • Need two targets: SDK target, SDK host

Content

  • 20100825 AP DONE: Check that sysroot includes all files needed from MeeGo API 1.1 point of view (Fathi, with help from Bob)
  • AP: Add qtopengl-devel to sysroot (Fathi)
  • 20100908 AP: Bob to sync with Veli on Qt Mobility API / impl.
  • 20100908 AP: Bob to sync on WRT with Gavin Hindman (Intel). Nokia can provide names for what's missing.
  • AGREED: Sysroots need to be segment specific (netbook, handheld...)

Release Format

  • 20100901 AP DONE: Proposal wiki page about installing / installers [drat] (Veli)
    • AP: Sync the two proposals (Veli, Bob)
    • 20100901 AP: Maurice to add info Qt SDK Installer (Maurice)
    • 20100901 AP: Bob to add info about their installer (Bob)


Toolchains

  • Generic
    • Windows host toolchains
      • OLD: Max is working on solution from local build on MinGW, hopefully we could get it work by end of this week. Max got Windows x86 toolchains working, outside OBS first.
    • Mac OS X host toolchains
      • Build process for Harmattan toolchains exists
    • AP: Al Nikolov & Max to sync about windows & Mac host toolchains (Al)
  • ARM target
    • OLD: Still need some work. Need a plan to resolve (OBS cannot build for armv5/armv7; need sysroots inside OBS or access outside)
    • 20100908 AP: Come up with plan for ARM target. (Al, Fathi)
      • AP: Create a lightweight sysroot for toolchain building (Al)
    • OBS seems slow
  • Intel x86 target
    • OLD: Have x86 toolchain from local build. (binutils, headers, sysroot are ready now at kevin's home project, -sysroot native packages? now working on glibc and gcc packages, then push them to dev:tool:sdk project)
    • 20100908 AP 20100924: Push toolchain packages to dev:tool:sdk project (Kevin)
      • In OBS home, testing...


QA

  • 20100818 AP CANCELLED: Jaya and Cathy Shen to review the tests created by Nokia
  • 20100820 AP ONGOING: Get familiar with MeeGo QA and integrate our work to that (Jaya, Cathy)
    • Meeting with Jari Tahvanainen this week
  • 20100820 AP: How to handle bugfixes of releases (Fathi)
  • 20100825 AP: Create a document about MeeGo SDK related bugs (Fathi)
