I'm a Spanish engineer working for Lanedo GmbH, core developer of Tracker, co-maintainer of GNU PDF, and random hacker in several other projects, including NetworkManager/ModemManager.

I'm deeply involved in MeeGo/Harmattan's Tracker, specially in:

• File content and metadata extraction, supporting all the different per-format plugins in tracker-extract, as well as developing new ones when needed.
• Filesystem mining, with the tracker-miner-fs, bugfixing, developing general improvements, and trying to properly synchronize with other applications which do metadata insertion themselves, as msyncd or the camera-ui, so that they don't conflict with the main Tracker miner.

I'm also involved in the Full-Text-Search (FTS) support of Tracker, disabled in Harmattan but enabled in MeeGo and Gnome by default. I developed the libicu and libunistring Unicode-aware parsers for FTS, as well as the Unicode collation sup port for sorted results.

As part of my free time, I try to help with specific bug triaging and fixing; and patch reviewing in MeeGo, where Tracker is used as default media file indexer in the Core platform.
