If anyone ever reads this - hi ;)
I have been primarily working on Immoral - https://github.com/cb22/immoral - an advanced mail client written in QML and Python. Unfortunately, my out of warranty N900 succumbed to the USB problem (pads seem to have been ripped off the PCB too :/), leaving me with my BlackBerry (urgh) as my primary phone.
Development on Immoral has been halted for the time being, but I've been working on a few other side projects in QML - such as: https://github.com/cb22/paradox2 https://github.com/cb22/casa2 https://github.com/cb22/tabletcontrol
Basically, these will allow a nice degree of home automation. Currently they aren't really "targeted" at any device besides stock QML running on Linux on Archos tablets (hence some ugly hacks).
Paradox2 is a python interface for talking to a Paradox alarm serial module, and presenting a nice API over HTTPS. Casa2 is the QML interface that will run on the tablets themselves tabletcontrol is a HTTP interface that will run on the tablets, providing notifications for things like a person ringing the door bell, etc.
A fairly recent video demo is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAUuRYGA9d8 :)
