N950 plans

Partiqule

Partiqule is a new app I have started development on and am solely targeting MeeGo. It is a reference tool for particle physicists to provide all the information contained in The Review of Particle Physics which is the chief reference text for professionals in the field. There have been previous attempts for other handheld products but Partiqule will have a much more modern interface and a larger database of information.

PolyVox

PolyVox is an open-source 3D graphics middleware library to provide tools for rendering voxel environments. I will port PolyVox to MeeGo (should be simple since it works on Linux already) along with its SDK and tech demos. There is a game currently being produced by the lead developer (targeting desktop Windows) which I will work to port to MeeGo and adapt for a handheld touch-screen interface.

KDE Games, specifically KSquares

I am a developer for KDE games. While I will not personally be aiming to port KDE to MeeGo (though I know there are people working on it), the games provided in the KDE SC are ideal targets for handheld devices. They are generally simple enough that they could be ported to a pure Qt/QML design. I will work to port my game, KSquares to Meego and ensure it works well with the touchscreen.

Falcon

Falcon is a programming language (slightly similar to Python or Lua) designed for speed and embedding in other applications. I alrady package Falcon and its modules for openSUSE and am going to start doing the same for MeeGo (I am going to do this anyway, regardless of whether I have a physical device). I will test its suitability as an addon library for MeeGo.
