Computer Engineer by Education, Web Developer since 1997 with PHP, MYSQL, FLASH and JS. Ran my own Web and Online services company since 1997 (Dv8 Creations, dv8.com.au) until 2009. Working in the IT industry since 2000 from sales, technical to consultancy roles.
Working with Qt since this year, so far I have 5 apps released in the OVI store. My apps have now passed 20,000 downloads, at a rate of around 1,000 downloads a day.
I also maintain (own/run) FixQt.com, (FixSymbian.com) for End Users to get the latest Qt files without having to download the SDK. This resource is now shared and recommended as a first step by many in the Nokia community for users to fix their phones. (Problems such as stuck apps, Ovi Store)
My immediate plans are to move my Apps over to MeeGo. I am now using some C++ in my application to add more functionality and gain performance, moving forward I will be using Qt C++ as it fits more of my new project requirements.
Immediate future apps include Springpad Qt, Barclay Cycle Hire, GPS Logger Qt and updates to all of my current apps in line with Qt Components and new UI/UX Guidelines. Further plans are to find applications/features that are missing in this community and create those applications for all to use.
