Cool Stuff

These apps are candidates to be included in the DE configuration and/or should be put to MeeGo apps. Feel free to add your stuff, after you have verified it on current MeeGo 1.2 image on N900.

MeeGo Handset Dialer (QML Branch)

Installation: 

Status: I could not install with these instructions into N900DE, please check? (Jukka)
After manual RPM, I have it working and looks OK.

TwimGo, Kasvopus, Newsflow, Nelisquare

QML apps by Tommi Laukkanen, packaging/tweaking for N900DE TBD (Tommi / Ville V).

Login fails for all of them, possibly because of https not working (certificates)?

Status: com.substanceofcode.kasvopus' not found in package names. Trying capabilities. No provider of 'com.substanceofcode.kasvopus' found.' (Jukka)
Kasvopus doesn't start (only white screen). Twimgo cannot login since decoration is on top of login screen. Newsflow looks fine, but suffers from https problem?

Did you see something on terminal on launching Kasvopus? Ensure you have libqtwebkit-qmlplugin installed
Forcing all of these fullscreen is easy. -ville

These should work in DE releases, do we need to add something to make these work? QtWEbkit is missing totally atm, that's a bug. -Jukka

QmlReddit

Reddit reader, works well on N900DE.

zypper addrepo -f http://repo.pub.meego.com/home:/vivainio/DE/home:vivainio.repo

zypper in info.vivainio.qmlreddit

Also in the repo:

zypper in info.vivainio.qatbowling 

Status: Cannot install, apps not found in repo (zypper problem?). (Jukka)
RPM installation fails with missing dependency (libqtwebkit-qmlwebkitplugin is needed by info.vivainio.qmlreddit-1.0-68.1.DE.armv7hl)

Did you run "zypper refresh" as well? -Ville

No, I didn't because instructions don't tell that? -Jukka

CacheMe

An online geocaching application using Qt and QtMobility: http://build.pub.meego.com/package/show?package=cacheme&project=home%3Aharbaum

Beware: This is actually untested on MeeGo, but works nicely in Symbian, Maemo5, Windows and Desktop Linux, so MeeGo should work. Please give feedback to harbaum@#meego-arm 

Status: Can you please make step-by-step installation guide? Also I think Qt Mobility location will not work in N900. Also, we will need armv7hl binaries. (Jukka)

Add Gluon to your MeeGo 

Status: Second command doesn't find gluon.. Cannot install. Also, we need armv7hl binaries. (Jukka)
Status: (2011-05-17) Now Gluon & deps are compiled for armv7nhl. updated the above repo address, please try again. (sandst1)
