Introduction

• Snowball is a powerful board with ST-Ericsson’s Nova A9500 processor (ARM dual-core Cortex A9 @ 1GHz) and the ARM Mali 400 GPU.
• ST-Ericsson offers MeeGo (with hardfp support), Android and Ubuntu releases for Snowball, and provides support for both hobbyist and professional users of the Snowball board. Linaro blog
• Two versions of the Snowball developer board are sold by Calao Systems and ST-Ericsson's worldwide network of distributors:
  • The software development version (SDK, 4GBytes e-MMC)
  • The product development version (PDK, 8GBytes e-MMC - also usable in end products).
  • Snowball are sold by distributors with pricing recommendation. Calao will keep high pricing to have the main flow of Snowball sales going through the distribution channel.
