All campaigns should have an owner or contact person for that campaign who takes overall responsibility for meeting deadlines and coordinating actions within the campaign, this person will also serve as the point of contact for anyone interested in the campaign. Further, every campaign should have a clear goal, a time of execution and specific tasks that are needed (when possible). | All campaigns should have an owner or contact person for that campaign who takes overall responsibility for meeting deadlines and coordinating actions within the campaign, this person will also serve as the point of contact for anyone interested in the campaign. In order to create some separation between two very distinct target segments I propose that every campaign be categorized under either "Community2User" (C2U) or "Community2Professional" (C2P). This will help create a better view and understanding for the campaigns conducted by the community, and metrics used to evaluate the campaigns will need to reflect the different target groups so a separation will be needed at some point anyway.
The basic guidelines for where your campaign should be posted is determined by whom you mainly wish to influence with it:
C2U: End users, independent developers, general hype etc.
C2P: Professional developers, Hardware manufacturers etc.
Although some campaigns might fit in both groups most should be easily classifiable. If there is any confusion regarding where a campaign goes make a judgment call and have a small discussion about it.
