What is needed

1. A WeTab with power cable
2. sudo/root access on the WeTab
3. One USB flash drive
4. A USB keyboard and mouse (mandatory)
5. Another *nix system for writing to the USB drives

Creating a bootable MeeGo drive

1. Plug the WeTab into the mains. You do not want the unit powering off or sleeping while you are reflashing!

2. Download pinetrail image from the [ http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/builds/stable/1.2.0.90/1.2.0.90.0.20110517.1/images/meego-tablet-ia32-pinetrail/ ]. I used meego-tablet-ia32-pinetrail-1.2.0.90.0.20110517.1.img

3. Follow [ http://meego.com/devices/netbook/installing-meego-your-netbook instructions ] for using image-writer to create a bootable image on one of the USB drives

4. sudo printf "\x9d\x2a\x44\x7b"|dd of=/dev/sdX bs=1 count=4 seek=440 (where sdX is your USB flash drive)

5. Start Meego from usb

Be sure that your WeTab is connected to the mains socket
Plug in USB stick (Stick with LED prefered)
  Press power button
Once the WeTab starts to boot (Blue LED on WeTab lights up or LED on stick lights up) press power button together with quickstart button
(round area in top left corner of touch screen) for approximately 1 second
(longer press will shut it down again) and press F11 repeatedly until the boot menu shows up
  Select proper action

6. It works in both modes: live and persistent Meego image

Known Issues

1. Bluetooth hardware isn't recognized
2. Audio hardware seems found, but no sounds heard
