MeeGo Network Finland is a diverse, open and active volunteer based MeeGo development community in Finland. It unites developers, hackers and users by creating a sense of regional fellowship and facilitating communication.

Opportunities are unlimited but to name a few. To have fun with MeeGo in open social network. More ideas, innovations and activity among like-minded people. Attract more MeeGo users in all platforms, create functional and user-friendly applications, get more feedback and bug reports, enable better social interaction between developers and users.

The above is achieved by collaboration in organizing events both locally (meetups and other) and regionally (annual summit), via publicity and online discussions. Evidently we need members with various skills such as event organization (both local and regional), design, web design, advocacy, writing, translating, application testing, coding, marketing, IRC-op, forum admin, innovation, and last but not least lots of hacker attitude.

We have a Code of Conduct to follow. It might not be such a bad idea to read it first. Once you are familiar with it, it's easy to become part of us. It only depends how active you want to be.

1. Easy & instant participation

2. Meet others in the flesh

• You can find a Local MeeGo Network in your area and meet others in the flesh.

3. Cut the crap! Gimme something to do right now!

• You can pick a task that needs to be done, start doing it and let us know about your contribution either by email or in IRC.
• You can join one of our teams.

Community has two channels on freenode network.

• #meego-fi. Language: either Finnish or English. Channel offers an opportunity to meet members from different local Networks in Finland to discuss MeeGo related hacking, development and events. NOTE! If you discuss some issue that is relevant for the whole community, use English! We have a lot of non-Finnish speaking members.
  • OPs: cybette, kyb3R(owner)
  • Fibubot is a permanent resident in this channel. Used for logging and creating metrics. Maintained by ninnnu
  • NOTE! We need 1-2 experienced OPs. Contact cybette (Comm & Tech team lead).

• #meego-summit-fi. Language: 100% English. This channel is used only during events, such as community driven regional MeeGo Summit FI .

Finland began to organize Regional MeeGo Summit 2011.

• MeeGo Summit FI 2011
• Local Network Meetups: Helsinki, Tampere, Oulu
• We are one of the Intel AppUp developer program organisations (our org name is 'meego-fi'). You can join us despite of where you come from.

Meetings are held as default at #meego-meeting channel. Note to Meeting Chair: Check that meeting is scheduled at MeeGo-Meeting IRC Schedule. People who have been assigned a task in the meetings should write down the actions taken (what has been done after the meeting to achieve desired outcome). Anyone can attend these meetings or participate in the process!
