The text we want to see in http://meego.com/about. We have different versions and we need to get only one.
The MeeGo project combines Intel’s Moblin™ and Nokia’s Maemo projects into one Linux-based, open source software platform for the next generation of computing devices. The MeeGo software platform is designed to give developers the broadest range of device segments to target for their applications, including netbooks and entry-level desktops, handheld computing and communications devices, in-vehicle infotainment devices, connected TVs, media phones and more – all using a uniform set of APIs based on Qt. For consumers, MeeGo will offer innovative application experiences that they can take from device to device. The MeeGo project is hosted by the Linux Foundation. For more information on MeeGo, visit www.meego.com.
MeeGo is a Linux-based OS built for the next-generation of computing devices. Different from other mobile OSes, MeeGo is a truly open source platform that includes the core OS, UI libraries and tools, references user experiences for multiples devices and applications, a standard set of APIs across all target device types and the flexibility to support proprietary add-ons. MeeGo supports a magnitude of mobile client devices (Handsets, Connected-TVs, In-Vehicle Infotainment, Netbooks and Tablets) and provides choice and flexibility to create and deliver a uniquely differentiated service offering.
On February 15, 2010, Intel and Nokia, announced joining their existing open source projects (Moblin and Maemo respectively) to form a new project called MeeGo, hosted at the Linux Foundation.

Yet another one for consideration ... --Dawnfoster 22:13, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
MeeGo is a Linux-based, open source operating system for small form factor devices. It was created with a unique user experience designed from the beginning to look great on tablets, handheld devices, in-vehicle infotainment systems, connected TVs, netbooks and more. For consumers, MeeGo will offer innovative application experiences that they can take from device to device.
Developers can take advantage of a single MeeGo API and use the MeeGo SDK, which is based on Qt, to write applications that run on any MeeGo device. The MeeGo software platform is designed to give developers the flexibility to create new and innovative applications across the broadest range of device segments.
MeeGo is a Linux Foundation project that was established in February 2010 after a merger of two established open source projects, Moblin™ and Maemo. MeeGo has a vibrant and active community of developers, enthusiasts and users. Like with other open source projects, anyone can contribute to the MeeGo project and become a part of the MeeGo community.
