Can we write mobile applications minimizing the C/C++ code? and how the KDE technologies, aided by the QtQUICK and QtComponents framework can help?
This unconference session will be about demos, code and tutorials about using KDE technologies alongside new Qt and MeeGo frameworks. several examples will be shown and discussed, such as Plasma desktop widgets written purposefully to be little applications for a mobile environment, in both pure JavaScript or a mix of JavaScript and the new QtQUICK QML. It will be shown how to use plasma technologies such as "dataengines" in Meegotouch based applications. QtComponents, a new promising framework from Qt labs will also be introduced and discussed, showing how to use this technology in a small QML based Plasma application, obtaining the Meegotouch look and feel without a single line of C++ code.
