Hardware

What processors are supported by MeeGo?

MeeGo x86 supports Intel Atom processors and Intel Core 2 or newer processors. MeeGo requires SSSE3 support not found on Core (1) and older or current AMD processors.

MeeGo also supports ARM7el processors.

What graphics cards / chipsets are supported by MeeGo?

MeeGo currently supports Intel chipsets apart from Intel GMA500. MeeGo does NOT support ATi/AMD or Nvidia graphics cards.

What handsets are currently supported by MeeGo?

Currently the only supported handsets are the Nokia N900 and Aava developer phone.

Does MeeGo support Broadcom wifi cards?

MeeGo does not ship with the closes source drivers so you will have to install the Broadcom drivers yourself. A guide written by Slaine can be read here, you will require a wired connection for this guide.

Software

What web browsers does MeeGo come with?

There are two MeeGo images, one comes with Google Chrome that requires you to agree to a EULA. The other image comes with Chromium. Both images also come with Mozilla Firefox.

Updates

What package manager does MeeGo use?

The command line package manager is Zypper.

Can I upgrade from MeeGo 1.0 to 1.1?

No, You will have to do a fresh install.

How do I get Meego 1.0.x or 1.1.x?

MeeGo does not release images for each minor update. Download and install the 1.0 or 1.1 image and then install any available updates.

Is EXT4 supported?

Why do you need a MicroSD card to run MeeGo on the N900?

The MeeGo image is to large to fit on the N900's internal 256MB memory.
