SDK/Packages group

Introduction

Currently all ks files for the SDK have a huge number of packages listed, the list of packages for the SDK should be included in package groups instead. We need to create package groups and request inclusion into the patterns rather than maintaining them in the ks files.

Proposals

We have 2 options:

  • dump current list of development packages into a packages group
  • install all development package from MeeGo Core

We can have 1 or 2 packages group:

  • based on MeeGo Core
  • based on MeeGo Core and Handset

The numbers are based on trunk-daily-1.1.80.14.20110107.1 images.
