The good news is that we are getting 50 Nokia 950 developer devices in addition to the 250 of [[Community Office/Community device program/Nokia|the initial program]]!

This is how we will proceed for this special batch:

* '''Candidates MUST have real open source code published and functional''' via Qt Creator simulator/emulator, Scratchbox, running in similar platforms e.g. Maemo, Symbian, Linux desktop... It can be unstable and far from complete, but we want to see real work done already as a primary way to filter candidates.

* Randall (Texrat) and Quim will review the candidates as they arrive and will send acceptance emails until reaching the limit of 50. Community feedback about the candidates is welcome [http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?p=28147 in this thread]. The deadline is 'as soon as possible'.

Local MeeGo Networks organize face to face meetings and other activities on the real ground. They bring what no online social network can provide: real handshakes, real kudos, real applause, real face to face chat. They are free as in beer and you might even get some real drinks for free as well!

== The Monthly Meetup ==

Local MeeGo Networks keep a routine of monthly meetups open to everybody combined with activities focused on specific audiences.

For the monthly meetups there is a common framework:
* Short Welcome: announcements and applause to the meetup host.
* Up to 5 lightning sessions of 5 minutes each: demos, intros, insights... Low-tech or No-tech is welcome.
* Applause. ;) Next meeting announcement. More applause.
* Plenty of time just to chat and have a good time. If possible, find a sponsor for local drinks and food.

We encourage the local networks to improve the formula and adapt it to the local taste. Remember to contribute your improvements to this page!

Choose the tool that will work better in your own context. You can go for a wiki page + forum thread, you can use a specialized tool or you can do something else.
