Agreed - I also found the doc very clear until the final section --- From context I *think* you need to run the flasher on your linux/windows box, but it's not super clear --- it's also not 100% clear to me what this will do to maemo on the N900 - does this allow you to dual-boot?

Regarding the discussion at the very end re "Load or flash kernel on N900": it's clear that the load method does not alter the ability to boot into Maemo later. What does the flash method do? Is it located purely on the SD card? I.e. so that when it's removed, one boots into Maemo just as if Meego had never been installed? Or does it flash the kernel on the device itself so that Maemo is no longer bootable?

Could you clarify?
