:I suggest N950 tips and tricks is merged into this, as the N950 is purely a developer device. A reference to N9DevelopmentTipsAndTricks on developer.nokia.com's wiki might also be sensible. --Jaffa 08:52, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Removed N950 tips and tricks and created N950 landing page that has link to this page. In addition it has links to bugtrackers, to developer.nokia -wiki -page and I am trying to figure out a solution for adding also peoples projects there under one title so finding out what everyone is doing would be easier. --Ossipena 10:06, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

I've downloaded the Netherlands maps (I'm there now) from http://www.hpsblog.com/2009/07/direct-download-for-ovi-maps-30-without.html . I've unpacked the archive and copied them to the cities/diskcache folder. I overwrited them all except for the files which were bigger though I think it would work even when everything is overwritten. After all this I've started the Maps application on de N950 (internet connection is WiFi). The maps couldn't find any maps for my location. Then I went to the Manage Maps options and suddenly I could the Add More Maps button. And I can download all the maps I want. I have no idea what caused the button to appear. Maybe it's just the WiFi connection, maybe it's the incompatible maps. But these are the steps I followed. -willemliu

After a few download maps the button suddenly disappeared again. After a few minutes and restarts of Maps the button re-appeared again, but my previously installed maps aren't listed as installed. -willemliu

I suggest N950 tips and tricks is merged into this, as the N950 is purely a developer device. A reference to N9DevelopmentTipsAndTricks on developer.nokia.com's wiki might also be sensible. --Jaffa 08:52, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

-willemliu
