N950 Fall release testing

"Because first impression is everything"

  • First boot is weird and takes long time. After showing the splash for a while there is a reboot and then it boots to home (after a long black period).
    • 2nd boot is more normal
  • Start splash screen garbled in N950 (after showing the proper version)

Power mgmt

  • Power off doesn't work, and forced power off (long power press) can cause device not to boot anymore.
    • 'shutdown' in terminal works.
  • Battery indicator doesn't work (unless charging)
    • N900 seems to show correct?
  • Battery charging seems to work

Voice calls

  • All work
  • After ringtone plays, there is crackling sound coming from speaker

Contacts (People)

  • Call from contact doesn't bring Dialler up

SMS

  • Works
  • No message tone

Camera

  • No viewfinder
    • N900 works.

Browser/WLAN

  • Helium works with WLAN
    • No multi-touch (pinch zoom)
