My name is Timur and I'm studying at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. (I study electronic engineering, and this is my first year at the uni.)
I have been a contributor to the Maemo community since the arrival of the Nokia N900. Since then, I have learned how to code with Qt, how to make Debian packages, and lately, how to package RPM (for both MeeGo and Fedora). (You can see some of my work on the botton of this page.)
Despite all the coding I've done so far, what I value most of all my contributions is the help I've given and am still giving to others. There have been numerous people whom I helped how to code in C++ and how to use Qt, how to install/use the SDK, and such things. I also enjoy collaborating with others such as MohammadAG, TSwindell, Jaffa, and the others.
I'm also looking forward to contributing at least as much to the MeeGo (and Harmattan) community as I have to the Fremantle community. :)
Outside of MeeGo/Maemo, I'm also active in the Fedora community, having also packaged a few things for Fedora. I enjoy using StackOverflow whenever I have the time to do so.
Here are my plans for the upcoming Harmattan platform.
For some time, I was mostly a .NET developer. I've became interested in Linux when I got myself an N900 and saw how nice its UI was. I also developed some small apps for it with Qt. I dived deeper. I thought then, "If Linux can look this great on a mobile device, I sure have to try it on my laptop too!" And so it begun. Nowadays I use Fedora as my operating system.
Since then, I'm always improving myself and I learn something new about MeeGo or Linux every day.
I always aspire to learn more, and I think that there is always room for improvement.
